SHIPPENSBURG CORN FESTIVAL RULES & POLICIES
All final decisions regarding all Shippensburg Corn Festival Vendors, Events or Activities and Operations will be made by the Shippensburg Corn Festival Board and Committee Chairs.
No costumes or characters are permitted at the Shippensburg Corn Festival except “Corny” provided from the Shippensburg Corn Festival Committee.
No illegal drugs or fireworks will be allowed within the Shippensburg Corn Festival.
We do not encourage pets at our event as the crowds can be quite overwhelming. The temperature may not be suitable for pets for an extended period of time. We ask that you please leave your pets at home. ADA registered service animals are allowed.
The right is reserved to inspect at any time vendor areas, display and entertainment areas at the Shippensburg Corn Festival.
Vendors and volunteers over 18 years of age grant permission to the Shippensburg Corn Festival Board to use his/her name, likeness, voice and words in television, radio, films, newspapers, magazines and other media and in any form not heretofore describe for the lawful purpose and activities of the Shippensburg Corn Festival. Vendors and volunteers understand that they will not receive any compensation for the use of his/her name or likeness.
GENERAL GUIDELINES & RULES
These rules apply to all Vendors, Guests, Volunteers, Entertainers and Activities at the Shippensburg Corn Festival. All Vendors, Guest, Volunteers and Entertainers must read and agree to abide by these general rules.
1. The Shippensburg Corn Festival will not be responsible for any loss, damage or accident that may occur to any person, article or vehicle, but will take every reasonable precaution to safeguard same.
2. No loitering while the Shippensburg Corn Festival is in operation that is outlined in the festival map.
3. No solicitation allowed at the Shippensburg Corn Festival that is outlined in the festival map.
4. No fighting is allowed at the Shippensburg Corn Festival. Those involved will be escorted from the Shippensburg Corn Festival and will not be permitted back to the festival for the rest of the event.
5. No bicycles or skateboards are permitted at the Shippensburg Corn Festival.
6. No alcohol of any kind is permitted at the Shippensburg Corn Festival, except what is displayed by an approved vendor at the Shippensburg Corn Festival. Only samples can be consumed by Guest that are 21years of age or older. Any alcohol purchased at the Shippensburg Corn Festival needs to be kept unopen and removed from the festival by the end of the Shippensburg Corn Festival event.
7. All parking signs (permanent and temporary) will be followed. Violators will be towed at the owner’s expense.
8. No running or horseplay is permitted at the Shippensburg Corn Festival.
9. No sign boards (sandwich boards) allowed outside of the vendor space. Only sign boards allowed in the middle of the street are Shippensburg Corn Festival informational boards, restroom sign and pre-approved sign boards by the committee. All local business sign boards need to stay in front of the business on the sidewalk with 3ft walking clearance around them.
10. Any violation of the above rules will result in an expulsion from the the Shippensburg Corn Festival. If an individual violates Pennsylvania State Law, the proper law enforcement agency will be contacted. Any decision for expulsion will be made by the Shippensburg Corn Festival Committee. Any decision of this panel is final.
